Full Blood Moon (Full Hunter’s Moon) Thirty-one riders. 31. THIRTY ONE. Our biggest ride yet!
Looking behind as we went through the streets of East Nashville, it was a sea of twinkle lights with riders of all ages, sizes, and experiences following behind. It looked incredible. Can you imagine 50 or 75 or even 100 night riders on the FBC? It’s mind-blowing.
Started at Drifter’s then went over to Acme Feed n Seed (new joint on Broadway) – curious as to the condition of the rooftop bar. It was great for 15 minutes (there was going to be a private party). Excellent weather, amazing view of the moon.
Cars respected us; we stayed (mostly) to the right; the only difficulty in my opinion was keeping track of everyone as we rode back to Drifter’s. This is where the tradition of not telling anyone where we’re going helps keep people together at the beginning. I think it might work to go on a short jaunt after the destination stop – meaning, we don’t go directly back to the start, but toodle a little bit and then head back to the start. If you have any suggestions on how to keep the pack together – as FBC grows and evolves – I would love to hear it.
